Alina was born with thumb hypoplasia and hearing loss, requiring specialized surgery and therapy.
Through CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation, she received surgery to reconstruct her hand followed by OT to build strength and coordination.
Today she can grasp everyday objects such as markers and toys.
“There’s no disability for us. I want her to do everything she wants do.” says Sandra, Alina’s mother. “She’s fearless”
